Money is what it's all about, otherwise you would have donated everything to charity! Wear an apron with a deep front pocket or a fanny pack with a zipper. Having your money on your body eliminates the likelihood of losing it to sticky fingers! Start the day off with a calculator and lots of coins and small bills available to make change. If you don't, your first customer will be trying to buy a dollars worth of junk with a $20 bill. If you are running out of change, and someone is haggling over a price, be willing to negotiate if the buyer has exact change. Another good rule of thumb about making change is to leave large bills out until after you have given the customer their change. Thus, there is no confusion about how much money they gave you to start with.

Materials:
Apron or fanny pack

At least $10 worth of quarters, dimes and nickels

At least $25 worth of one dollar bills

At least $30 worth of five dollar bills
