Description:
Big trucks fascinate little boys, and they love building things. Why not combine those interests to create a bright, fun and exciting room. Big signs in primary colors not only teach colors and shapes, but also important messages.

Materials:
1 gallon sky blue paint (flat interior)

1 gallon grass green paint (flat interior)

1 quart dirt brown paint (flat interior)

1 quart each of red, yellow, blue, black and white paint (flat interior)

Children? book about construction vehicles (illustrations should be very simple and easy to replicate)

2? paintbrush

Paint roller

Paint tray

Plastic tarp

Masking tape

Artists?brushes

Traffic signs table, chairs and coat rack (babybeddingshop.com)

Construction vehicles wall hanging (babybeddingshop.com)

Royal blue bedding (Domestications)

Tire toy bins (Playskool)

2 saw horses

2?x 3?piece of plywood

Sandpaper

Screws and screw driver

Instructions:
1. Remove furniture from room.

2. Mask all moldings with masking tape.

3. Lay tarp and secure with masking tape.

4. Use pencil to draw wavy line from corner to corner about half way up the walls and all the way around the room.

5. Paint the upper portion of the room blue and the lower portion of the room green.

6. Paint piles of dirt with the brown paint and fluffy clouds with the white.

7. Using the children? book as a guide, paint simple construction vehicles in bright colors: cranes, dump trucks, cement trucks, etc.

8. Return furniture to the room and dress the bed with blue bedding.

9. Hang wall hangings above the bed.

10. Place the traffic signs table and chairs in one corner and the coat rack near the door.

11. Screw plywood to saw horses to make a table.

12. Sand plywood table and paint green.

13. Paint little piles of dirt and building materials on the top of the table. Scatter little toy trucks and tiny orange cones on top of the table for your little one to play with.

14. Place tire toy bins filled with toys under plywood table.

15. Hang his construction hat and tool belt on the coat rack.
