CleanWeb offers a standard service that includes filtered dialup access, 5 email addresses and 10MB of storage space for email and a personal web site. The standard service costs $21.95 per month. For $4.95 per month CleanWeb also offers a filter-only service that you can use with your ISP of choice. CleanWeb uses three different layers of filters. The first layer uses a database to filter out more than half a million objectionable sites. The second layer filters search engine results to help insure that pornography and other inappropriate material do not reach your browser. The third layer monitors web pages as they are downloaded to your computer. If CleanWeb detects offensive material, it will block access to the content and a message will be displayed in your browser that the page has been filtered and may not be accessed.
