Description:
Help encourage your children to read, take them to a library story time. Most are fun and interactive and it gives you the opportunity to check out some additional books to read later on that day. Check the web, the chamber of commerce, local papers or pay a visit to the visitor's center to find out what's available in your next vacation spot.

Library story times are fun and a great way to spend a rainy day. You may want to call the library in advance to check on the recommended ages of their particular programs. While you are there, you might want to check out some books that are relevant to the area you are visiting.

Also, libraries have computers and Internet access. And you can check out videos for free. If there isn't a library within close proximity, lots of bookstores feature regular story hours, too.
