Description:
If your family enjoys boats and being out on the water, you may want to take them on a sea cruise. Day trips can include a scenic tour of the general area, a whale watch or some deep sea fishing.

Depending on the ages of your kids and their interests and attention spans, a day out on the water can be enjoyable for every member of the family. Many resort areas offer daily scenic boat cruises up and down and around their general areas. These cruises are usually about 2 hours, run throughout the day and you can buy lunch or dinner on board.

For something a little more exciting, a whale watch can be truly breathtaking. These cruises average 3 to 4 hours in length and are usually narrated by local marine biologists.

For deep sea fishing enthusiasts, boat trips are available in half and full day packages. These trips are recommended for kids 10 and up with a hardy interest in fishing and a strong stomach.
