Tug of War Rope

Materials:
10 foot rope
Red, white and blue ribbon

Description:
A great game to play at your picnic is Tug of War. So many people can join in on the fun.

Instructions:
1. Purchase a sturdy rope from the hardware store.
2. Tie a ribbon of red, white, and blue to the center of the rope.
3. When you're ready to play, find a large open space and divide your group into teams.
4. Evenly distribute sizes and weights of players to create a challenge (you can also try boys against girls, adults against kids, etc.).
5. Mark a line on the ground.
6. Match up the center ribbon for the game to begin.
7. Explain that the object of the game is to have the opponent pulled over to your side of the line.
8. Let the game and loads of fun and laughter begin.
9. You can play this for hours.
