Description of tip or technique:
Keeping your child entertained while in route to your destination will help time pass much more quickly for the whole family. Remember that staying put in one place often makes children restless and bored. Chances are the older your child is, the longer they will be awake and alert during the trip. For this reason, it's important to pack age appropriate toys for entertainment. Playing tapes and singing songs are great ways to spend time together. Books and small toys that are easy to pack and carry are also ideal for trips. Of course, simple interactive games like "Peek-a-boo" (for young babies) and "I Spy" (for toddlers and older children) are always a big hit. The key is to be creative and enjoy the time you have to share together.
