Description of tip or technique:
Being away from home will obviously cause changes to your baby's routine. Though many babies (both infants and toddlers) adjust quickly to their new schedules, it's best to try to limit unnecessary changes before your trip. If you were planning on weaning your baby from breastfeeding, don't begin this process the week before your vacation or mealtimes may become a battle. Similarly, don't introduce solids or a new kind of food to your baby before your trip as your child could have an allergic reaction. Babies find comfort in routines, so try to keep to their usual schedule as much as possible. Of course, don't be so rigid that you feel guilty keeping your baby up for an extra special occasion. Vacations are meant to be fun for the whole family.
