Description of tip or technique:
In general, babies usually behave the same on vacation as they do at home. Bring comfort objects that will remind your child of home and reassuring routines. Most young children need at least one nap a day. Whenever possible try to adhere to your child? nap schedule so that your family can enjoy time together when your child is awake. If a crib or bassinet can not be provided where you are staying, be sure to bring a port-a-crib or bassinet with you.

Other comments or suggestions:
When renting or borrowing cribs or bassinets for your baby, be sure that this equipment meets all safety requirements. Safety codes were changed in 1990, so older cribs may not meet today? safety standards. It? also important to check to see that the sheets are the correct size for the crib or bassinet you are using. A sheet that does not properly fit a crib or bassinet mattress is a dangerous suffocation hazard.
