4 Star Gift Idea Rating

Estimated time to complete activitiy:
Several hours

Materials needed:
Different colors of washable acrylic paints
Large poster board
Frame
Small brass plate

Description:
A picture of every child's handprint in one frame.

Instructions:
Have each child in the class put their hands in whichever color paint they prefer and make one handprint. Then have the children write their full name under their handprint.

Have one of the parents purchase a decent frame (the best and most cost efficient would be from a discount craft store).

Buy a small brass plate and have it engraved and attached to the frame saying something like, "Presented to (teacher's name) with love from the entire class of 1999-2000 (or current year). Thank you for touching our hearts."

Other suggestions or comments:
This gift was given to a good friend of mine who teaches kindergarten, and he said it almost brought him to tears!
