Plain canvas bag
Fabric paint
Patches

Glue gun (requires adult supervision)

Description:
Give your teacher something to carry his or her papers and books in, and while youÆre at it let him or her know that you think he or she is great!

Instructions:
1. At a hobby shop, purchase a plain canvas bag, fabric paint in tubes, fake flowers, patches, beads and buttons for decorating this very special book bag.
2. Decide what you want the bag to say, e.g., ôMy Favorite Teacherö, ô#1 Teacherö, ôThe Best Teacherö, etc.
3. Write your phrase onto the center of the bag with fabric paint found in tubes (easiest to control and work with).
4. Decide what (if any) other decorations you would like to add to the bag.
5. If your teacher is a big sports fan or athlete, you might want to hot glue patches of his or her favorite team to the bag.
6. If your teacher likes to garden, hot gluing fake flowers could look nice.
7. You might want to design a pattern using the tube fabric paint.
8. This is your opportunity to create something for your teacher from the heart.
9. You decide. There are no limits because whatever you create will be perfect.
10. Place the bag in a box.
11. Wrap it and finish it off with a bow.
