Write a letter of appreciation or recognition.

Instructions:
Write a letter to your child's principal telling him/her how your child's teacher has positively impacted your child and his/her education. The principal will surely share this with the teacher and may even take it into consideration when evaluating the teacher's performance. Be specific and detailed in expressing your appreciation. Teaching is an overwhelming responsibility. Your thoughtfulness in recognizing and expressing appreciation for the effort your child's teacher puts forth each day will be treasured.

Other suggestions or comments:
You might consider addressing the letter to the principal and giving the teacher a copy, or you could just write directly to the teacher. Remember to be specific!
