Description of technique:
Despite their best efforts, some women and babies still find nursing to be a challenge. No doubt, the business of feeding can become both physically and emotionally draining when you and your baby are in discomfort for whatever reason. Before you give up the idea of breastfeeding altogether, you may want to try nursing two or three times a day and offer formula during the other feeding times. Your baby will still be getting antibodies from you during these nursing sessions, which helps build their immune system against illness and disease. Just remember not to be too hard on yourself. Giving you and your baby some flexibility may help the two of you to persevere.
