Recommended age for technique:
2 - 3

Description of technique:
Put your child to bed. Read a story that they have chosen, or one that you know they love. Read it to them in a soft manner, but also with different voises for the different characters and sounds. Whilst you are reading, ask you child to rest and get comfortable.

Other comments or suggestions:
Let your child know you will only read one story, then it is 'lights out' and time for sleep.
