Estimated time to complete gift:
2-3 hours

Description of gift:
Every dad needs something to hold his papers down on his desk. Why not make him a paperweight? Every time he needs his papers he will get a little reminder of you!

Materials:
Paper
Pencil
Self-hardening clay
Paint
Paintbrushes
Beads
Plastic jewels

Instructions:
1. Create a design on paper to decide what shape to make your paperweight.
2. One fun design would be to spell out the word D-A-D as your clay shape.
3. Take a big piece of clay and divide it into 3 even pieces.
4. Roll out each piece into long strips.
5. Shape each strip into one of the letters.
6. Attach the letters by pinching the sides together (to keep the letter shapes, pinch the bottom side of each letter to stick together).
7. If you want, you can decorate the clay with beads, plastic jewels and other fun shiny objects.
8. Let clay dry overnight.
9. Paint your paperweight.
