3 Star Gift Idea Rating

Estimated time to complete gift:
3 hours or more

Description of gift:
Bake a batch of Dad's favorite cookies with the little helpers. Take photos along the way to make a laminated Father's Day card of the fun. Present them to Dad.

Materials:
Favorite cookie recipe or package of pre-made cookie dough. Laminating paper if desired( you don't have to laminate but it makes for a nice keep sake). Digital camera.

Instructions:
Get the little ones ( mine was 2 1/2) to help as much as they can with the cookie making process and snap photos along the way. While the cookies are cooling, print out the photos either with a photo program or just cut and paste them to an 8x10 piece of paper(front and back just like a card). You can add comments under each photo. Laminate each page, punch holes and tie pages together with ribbon. Once cookies are completely cooled, bag them in zip bags, put in a basket, wrap in a box for a surprise or decorated bag and present them to Dad with the card.

Other suggestions or comments:
Your child can be as involved as possible for their age. Our son was 2 1/2 and was so proud to present the gift to Dad.
