Description of technique:
Peer pressure causes our kids to try all kinds of things we wish they wouldn't. I have found a great resource that deals with so many issues our teens face. Connect With Kids (www.connectwithkids) is a company that produces great DVD's about topics that are relevant to kids and parents. When They Say Jump is one that focuses on several teens discussing the difficulties they have had in dealing with the daily struggles of peer pressure. I have watched it with my children and it has opened up discussions about things that they have faced. Video is a medium that kids are comfortable with, and it works much better than one of my lectures. There is a free preview of the videos on the website. It's definitely worth checking into!
