Appropriate grades or age groups:
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School

Estimated time to complete activity or implement technique:
2-4 weeks.

Materials needed (if applicable):
Construction Paper, Scotch tape, Markers for drawing the Face and legs on the body.

Activity set-up/instructions or description of technique:
10 min. to 30 min. depending on how many circles you would like to make. Make circles out of colored paper. This will be a caterpillar that will keep track of time by 15 min. increments. When she reached 6 hours she is rewarded with a book, or a trip to Barnes & Noble to pick a book. Other rewards are C.D.'s or Book Lights, etc.

Other suggestions or comments:
We put the catipillar around the top of her wall in her bedroom so she is always reminded. She picks a book of her choice to read and I pick a book that I think she would like. If she reads 20 min. than I would read 20 min.
