Estimated time to complete recipe:
20 minutes for a week's supply

Description of lunch box recipe:
My son doesn't enjoy fruits as much as I wish. I always look for interesting ways to serve them to him.

Directions:
To put a fun spin on boring fruit dish, I buy a jar of applesauce and put it in the cheap, small, plastic cups with lids (ziplock/gladware variety) and add different "surprises." Red Hots, cinnamon sugar, sprinkles, things of that nature. Best to sprinkle them in the morning you are sending them, otherwise they'll bleed all over. Then I take a package of flour tortillas, cut them into 4's or 8's (depending on their size), mist them with water, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and bake them until they are crisp. The supply lasts all week and is a great filler for the lunch box.

Other suggestions and comments:
Another really neat way to serve apples is sliced (dipped in citrus/water mix) with different flavored Jello (straight from the box) sprinkled on top.
