Description of stress-relief technique for busy parents:
Being a mom is the hardest job on the planet. Being a single mom is that much tougher. I know you want what's best for your kids, but to have that, you also need to do what's best for you. And that might mean letting yourself go out on a date once in a while.
Getting back into the dating scene isn't always easy. You certainly don't want to allow outside pressures to force you to date before you feel that you are ready. But you might want to think twice about the offer from a friend to pass your phone number along to that interesting someone and say yes this time. Wouldn't spending a nice, quiet evening going out to dinner do you some good? You might also consider finding a good babysitter and signing up for a class in something you enjoy. As the cliché goes, you never know who you might meet.
Once you start dating, try not to attach yourself to the first person that comes along just because you are lonely. And you'll want to be sure that this person will be staying around for a while before you involve him with your children. But give yourself a break once in a while and keep yourself open to new opportunities. You just never know what the future will bring.
