Description of stress-relief technique for busy parents:
Finding time for yourself is usually low on the priority list. But we all know that if we can fit in some daily time for ourselves, we are much better parents at the end of the day. If you're a single mom who works out of the house (the kids are already in day care or surround care), why not make lunchtime -- your time -- to work out.

You don't have to join a gym or feel like it's another chore. All you have to do is to take a walk by yourself during your lunch hour (and pick up or eat your brown-bag lunch when you get back at your desk). You'll be amazed at how much better it can make you feel. Not only will you be more effective at work, but you'll be a more effective parent at home.

It may be tough getting yourself started, but once you do, you won't want to give it up. Make it a priority to take some quiet time for yourself. Look at the sky, feel the sun on your face, and smell the grass. Be grateful for the small moments alone.
