General purpose of letter:
This is a sample letter written to the principal when you are dissatisfied with your childĘs teacher. It is always best to approach the teacher first, and involve the principal only if your differences with the teacher cannot be resolved. Give specific reasons for wanting to move your child to another class, and include your contact numbers so the principal can reach you.

Name] has been returning home from school quite unhappy with the way she/he is being treated in the classroom. I recently had a conference with [Teacher? Name] to address my concerns. [Teacher? Name] assured me that [Child? Name] was not being mistreated and felt that I was being overly sensitive.

I find this lack of concern by Ms./Mrs./Mr. [Teacher? Name] very upsetting. Up until this year I have been very happy with all of your teachers, and [Child? Name] has enjoyed school and has done very well. Because I know how attentive you have been to the needs of the students in your school, I feel it is important to make a formal complaint.
