Appropriate age groups for this Easter celebration or activity:
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School

Description of Easter celebration or activity:
Plastic Easter eggs are filled with treats - candy, coins, etc. and also a note that gives a specific instruction (give Grandma a hug, give Dad a piece of your candy, wish everyone a Happy Easter! etc.) or asks a certain question (What is your favorite holiday? What is your favorite color? Do you like to go to the beach or the park? etc.)

Setting up and preparing for this celebration or activity:
Fill the eggs, hide them and then allow a certain number of eggs to be found by each child. This way all the children will be able to find eggs. Anyone that finds their specific amount of eggs can then help the younger children find theirs.

Other suggestions or comments:
Sit around in a circle after all the eggs are found and share what is inside each egg - the notes. It is a fun sharing time. There is a lot of laughter. The kids and adults have a great time!
