Appropriate age groups for this Easter celebration or activity:
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School

Description of Easter celebration or activity:
This game works best with at least 12-15 kids (or kids and adults).

1. Break into teams of three and stand in lines (3 team members per line, with each team about 5 feet apart). The first team member in line on every team will be holding a hard-boiled egg on a spoon.

2. Mark off a line (using two sticks in the ground or a chair on either side, etc.) about 10 feet from the starting line to indicate where team members should turn around and head back to the next person in line.

3. When the official "referee" yells "go!" the first person on every team will run (balancing their egg on their spoon) to the line and turn around to pass the spoon to the next team member.

4. If the egg falls off the spoon, the team member will have to pick it up off the ground using the spoon only and continue forward.

The first team to finish will sit down and win a grand prize!

Setting up and preparing for this celebration or activity:
You'll need five spoons and five hard-boiled eggs. And don't forget, you'll need a grand prize as well. Perhaps a large chocolate bunny?

You can use raw eggs as well, but you'll have quite a mess to clean up later.

Other suggestions or comments:
This is great game for kids of all ages and adults can participate too!
