Appropriate age groups for this Easter celebration or activity:
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School

Description of Easter celebration or activity:
Each child is given a straw hat bought at the craft store.
A supply of decorations such as silk flowers, ribbons, laces, plastic eggs, etc.are needed to decorate the hat. Glue or hot glue gun needed to attach decorations to hat.

Setting up and preparing for this celebration or activity:
An older person may help to place the decorations on the hat for a young child. A ribbon is attached so it can be tied under the chin. When all are finished, pictures are taken of the children wearing their own designed hat.

Other suggestions or comments:
Prizes can be given for the best and funniest hat.
