Other comments or suggestions:
These are the best interactive learning PC games/stories I've found for this age to inspire reading. My 3 year old LOVES these CD ROM games, for 3-5 yr. olds it has varying degrees of difficulty (read along with voice, select words that use certain letters or sounds, fill in the blank in the story, arrange words to create the right sentence, and a lot more)
