Description of technique for dealing with temper tantrums:
When a young child has a temper tantrum, let them go at it. They'll see that you're not paying any attention to them and they'll stop.

Other suggestions or comments:
when my 4&5 year old decide that they have to have a temper tantrum, I just let them go at it. Sooner or later they see that it isn't having any effect on me and they stop. To me it's a way for them to get some attention from the parent.
