Describe the best gift you ever received or gave:
I took my dad to a Red Sox game a few years ago.

What made this gift extra-special?
It was great because we went to the game and got to hang out as father and son just like when he took me to my first game. My dad died not too long after that and that night turned out to be our last game together. I'm glad I have that memory because it was a special night, and in a lot of ways it turned out to be more of a gift for me than him.

Other comments or suggestions:
Tickets to a game or a show or something like a weekend fishing or golf trip are better than any object you can give because spending time together and creating special memories are what family is all about.
