This is an easy and inexpensive craft project. You could use buttons from clothing a child has outgrown, to add to the sentimental value.

Arrange buttons in a pleasing pattern on an inexpensive picture frame (wood, if possible). Glue each button down with craft glue; allow to dry for several hours/overnight, insert photo, and gift-wrap w/tissue for your loved one!
