Describe the best gift you (as a mom) ever received or gave to your mother:
I gave my mother a cookbook, which I made in 1969 as a 1st grader for a school project.
What made this gift extra-special?
When my mother died in 1990, I got all her cookbooks. She had kept the little cookbook, which was covered in avocado green fabric, made with tag board, and filled with recipes printed on white paper with purple ditto ink. All the recipes are still legible, and her favorite recipes are there, for me to make, at any time! My heart tugs every time I look at it!!
Other comments or suggestions:
Mother's Day hasn't been the same since she's been gone. I'd like to get the joy of that day back, for me to enjoy the day with my own four children.
