Describe the best gift you (as a mom) ever received or gave to your mother:
Having recently recovered from a devestating illness that took 3 years to diagnose, holidays in general were not always a source of great joy...like they are now. Last May it appeared that I would have to once again enter the hospital for treatment.
Our daughter Margaret Mary's most prized possession is her Buddy (baby blanket). Torn and tattered from 9 years of cuddling left little of the satin binding on the edges. The binding was referred to as "love". She managed to find a small piece and put it in a card for me to take to the hospital! Might not seem to be a big deal, but it must have done the trick! I will always treasure that bit of love, and now I carry in my handbag all the time. If I ever need a little help, I've always got her love with me .

What made this gift extra-special?
It was truly from the heart of a selfless child.
