Describe the best gift you (as a mom) ever received or gave to your mother:
This year my sister and I are giving our mother a trip to Bar Harbor, ME so that she can paint and draw and enjoy the Maine coastline.

What made this gift extra-special?
My mother thinks that we are going to Bar Harbor for a long weekend. But after the weekend is over, my sister and I will head back to Boston -- but get the real vacation. She and our dad will stay for a whole week longer in a small country inn right on the harbor.

Other comments or suggestions:
This was a fun trip to plan and a good way "trick" our parents to take a much needed vacation.
