Describe the best gift you (as a mom) ever received or gave to your mother:
Although I didn't think so at the time, the year my two children knew they'd be going off to college, for Mother's Day they presented me with two shoe boxes and out poked two calico kittens!

What made this gift extra-special?
I guess I never had to suffer through the empty nest syndrome because shortly thereafter the two kittens, Emily Dickinson and Sylvia Plath, gave me plenty to do.
