Project instructions or description of technique:
Before your child falls asleep and as he or she awakes from a nap, there are moments where he or she can be quietly playing on his or her own. Enhance this special time by filling the crib or bed with special items to entertain your child.

1. Place a mirror in your child? crib. As your child falls asleep and wakes up, he or she can have a few moments of self-reflection (literally!).

2. Place your child? favorite stuffed animal inside the crib or bed for quiet play.

3. Introduce your child to soft, gentle music to help him or her doze off.

4. This can be a magical time for your child to learn to how to be entertained on his or her own.
