Project instructions or description of technique:
Working together as a family can bring a greater sense of bonding and respect between siblings. Why not have the entire family pitch in around the house?

1. There is plenty of house work to do each week.

2. Create a schedule for each family member to do their part.

3. Whether it is taking out the garbage, emptying the dishwasher or walking the dog, your children can take responsibility for participating in family chores.

4. Mix up the jobs and rotate the schedule. Let each child try a different task each week.

5. Chances are, if your children are responsible for cleaning, they might think twice about messing the house up!

6. Each member will be become conscious of their place within the family unit and that by working as a team, no one has to do it all. The concept of cooperation will be strongly understood by the time the chores get done.

7. Let your children know how you appreciate their help.

8. Do something special when the chores are all done. For example, make a favorite dish or dessert together or plan a little family trip.

9. With the extra help, you now have time to do extra special things with the kids and bring the family closer!
