Project instructions or description of technique:
Songs are a great way for children to understand the patterns of words and language, so put on your child? favorite music and sing along!

1. Print out a copy of the lyrics to a song that your child loves to sing.

2. Turn the music on and read the lyrics along with your child. "Twinkle, twinkle, little star" is a great song to start with for younger kids.

3. Play the same song repeatedly (though it may drive you a bit crazy). Kids love repetition and learn quickly this way.

4. Soon your child will be learning to read the words he or she enjoys singing!
