Description of technique for teaching kids the value of money:
Young children love to look at and play with coins. Here's a game you can play to help them identify them and learn each coin's value.

You'll need a penny, a nickel, a dime and a quarter. Put the coins down on the table and sit with your child. Have him or her look at each of the coins, its color, the pictures and the president on each one, and explain to them what each one is worth.

Next, tell your child that you are thinking of a coin and give them clues about that coin. For example, "I Spy" a coin that is silver, I spy a coin that has a building or eagle on it's back etc. Continue giving clues until they guess the right coin.

Guessing games help young children develop problem-solving and better thinking skills.
