Description of technique:
Don't let kids watch sex, violence, talk shows, etc. That robs them of their innocence and their childhood and forces them to handle things they should not have to worry about yet.

Other comments or suggestions:
Just because something is a cartoon does not mean it is appropriate for kids. There are many that are sexual and violent and made for adults.
Limiting how much TV is watched is important, too. Who is raising your kids, Jerry Springer or you?
