Description of technique for teaching kids values:
Sports are competitive and there's nothing like winning. But it's important to teach our children to be gracious losers. First and foremost, set a good example. If you play team sports, let them see you handle defeat with disappointment and a smile. If you're a family that likes to play cards or board games, use this time to teach siblings that sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but it's fun family time spent together.

If your child plays on team sports, teach them to be gracious and humble whether they win or lose. When they lose, they should shake hands with the winner and commend their good job! When they win, they should glow from their efforts and hard work, but not gloat over their victory.
