What Happens When You Leave an Ingredient out of Cookies?

Estimated time to complete this project:
One day

Materials:
ingredients for your favorite kind of cookie
oven
cookie sheets
pencil
notepaper

Instructions:
Make your favorite cookies. The first time, leave out the sugar. Record what happens to the dough, how they taste, etc. The second time, leave out the flour. The third time, do them exactly right. Compare all 3 ways. How do they all taste? Did they all bake right? etc.

Other comments or suggestions:
We made tiny cookies of each kind and took them to the science fair for people to try and got their comments on a big poster board.
