Oil Spills and the Effects on Sea Life

Estimated time to complete this project:
One Evening

Materials:
Fake Fur, Feathers, Chaimois Cloth, used motor oil, dawn dishwashing detergent clean water and a sponge

What is the hypothesis of this science project? What does the experiment aim to prove?
How does oil spills effect Sea Life?

Instructions:
Soak the each of your 3 samples in water for 30 seconds, then in used motor oil for 30 seconds and try to clean the samples. The fake fur represents sea otters, fake feathers represents sea birds and the chaimois cloth represents dolphins or blubbery type animals.

Other comments or suggestions:
My son won first place at his school as well as district with this project.
