Selecting a Summer Camp

Gender and Age Group:
This camp is for both boys and girls. There are two levels, "Little Shining Stars" for children from kindergarten to second grade, and a Youth Theatre Camp for children from grades 3 to 8.

Programs and Activities Offered:
The youth camp offers a summer of music, dance, art, and drama culminating in a fully staged and costumed adult and youth musical, which this summer is "The King and I." In addition, the youth will perform in a showcase on the last day of camp.

The Little Shining Stars offers a great introduction to theatre arts. Age-appropriate instruction in theatre, art, dance, and music. The children will perform their own mini-production on the last day of camp.

Special Camp Features:
As listed above, the children in the youth camp will not only participate in three weeks of theatre camp, they will also perform in a full-scale musical. The campers are divided into three casts and they participate in four performances with the adult cast. Some rehearsals with the adult cast are also required.

Duration of Program and Rates:
The youth camp runs Monday thru Thursday, July 23 to August 9. The hours are 9-3 with extended hours available for an extra charge. In addition, the performances for the show are the weekends of August 16, 23 and 30, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon.

Little Shining Stars runs Tuesday to Thursday 9-12, July 31, August 1, 2, 7, 8, 9.

Rates for the camp are $375 for the youth camp and $300 for Little Shining Stars.
