Special Camp Features:
I have been trying to figure out why this page isn't filling up with comments (good or bad) and all I can think of is: the enduring concept of "camp" is to put the kids on a big bus w/big Hugs, and pick 'em up a week or 2 later.

Many families are dependent upon Day care systems/Before and After school care. The same systems that arose to fill this need have also evolved to tap into the market for summer "camp" experiences that can be enjoyed without having to leave home for weeks at a time. Every community is different, but within each one there are likely activities ranging from a few hours to All Day, and the activities can include anything listed among these Topics, and more. It's an opportunity to alleviate boredom, hone skills, make friends, while still being with Family daily. The local library, newspaper and telephone book (and neighbors) are the best sources for finding activities for kids (and adults). There are almost Too Many choices in some communities! ;-)
