Well...

Duration of Program and Rates:
I don't really have a clue on this. I was just wondering if the basic Nature Camp thang still happens as much anymore, outside of Scouting and CampFire organizations. However, I know that for daycamps (in our area, anyway), one doesn't need to be a member for the Day Camp experiences; they just charge a bit more for non-members. "Away" camps may or may not be similar. Look in the telephone book, surf the Net for your local youth organizations, or even better: ask your children's friends' parents. Knowing one other person can make it so much easier on some kids! Really outgoing kids might not care; you have to know your child. Making the child part of the selection process is probably a Really Good Idea; you can narrow the big list of possibilities to what you consider acceptable beforehand, then negotiate.

I think the really best camp would be way across the water from the kid camp, and for Parents only: Camp RelaxAlot.
