Description of discipline technique:
I have a chip program for my 10 year old. He can earn chips (poker chips) for such things as making his bed, going to bed on time, doing his chores, having a good day in school, etc... and he can lose chips for arguing, talking back, lying, etc.

There is a list of thing he can spend his chips on when he has earned the right amount. Such things as watching tv, riding his bike/scooter, video games, etc... This is the first thing that has ever worked for him and he does his very best each day to earn chips.
When they lose the chips, they give them to you in a respectful, decent manner or they lose 5 more each time they're not decent.

Appropriate age group(s):
3-18

This works AWESOME. It takes a bit for them to catch on.
