4 Star Technique Rating

Description of discipline technique:
We tend to give and receive love differently according to our varying personalities. Learn how you give and receive love most naturally, and how your children do, as well. Then you'll have some keys to what sort of communication you need to offer, and what methods of discipline might work most appropriately.

Appropriate age group(s):
all ages

Other suggestions or comments:
Commonly, the love languages are quality time, verbal communication, gifts, acts of service, and physical touch. Sometimes we are more open to giving one type and receiving another. If we recognize these qualities in ourselves and each other, less misunderstandings will result, and standards can be put in place more effectively. We might work to build more on the kinds of love behavior that we use or appreciate less often, since all five are positive and helpful in different situations.
