4 Star Technique Rating

Description of discipline technique:
I have four children and I have to use a different technique to reach each child. You have to use different techniques. My oldest child cannot stand to have anything that is "hers" taken away for a specified time. My second daughter just needs a stern talking to and she bursts into tears and is so remorseful. My oldest son needs to be given extra responsibilities and his attitude quickly changes. My youngest son gets put on restriction and this works for him. There is never one set way to discipline, you must find what works for each individual child.

Appropriate age group(s):
3 - 17

Other suggestions or comments:
Trial and error is your best way. You will eventually find what works for each child. However, always be consistent in punishment and never ever be afraid of your children.
