Description of discipline technique:
Uses logical consequences and empathy. Child forgot his lunch? Bummer, I bet you were hungry today. What are you going to do about it? Child says, "I hate you." My reply, "Probably so, yeah, I bet you do, maybe so." Then I talk to him/her about it later and how I felt and what I wish they would say or do instead. Love and Logic teaches responsiblity, keeps the dignity of all, provides choices, Empowers children.

Toddler on up

Other suggestions or comments:
Order some of Jim Fays tapes or books. He will get you laughing. Makes you feel like you are not alone...and encourages us to get the help from others in the same boat.
