Estimated time to make this valentine:
15-30 minutes

Appropriate age group(s):
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School

Materials:
Craft Foam (red and black)
Pipe Cleaners (red or black)
"Googly Eyes"
Black Marker, Paint, Glitter
Glue or Glue Gun

Instructions:
Trace a heart shape onto the red craft foam for the body. Trace a smaller heart shape onto the black foam for the head. I have small children, so I cut the shapes out for them, but older kids can cut the shapes out for themselves.

I had the kids use a black marker to make dots on the red heart, but you could use almost anything and even the spots could be varied by drawing/painting hearts instead. Place the red heart with the pointed end up and glue the black heart with the pointed end down on top of the red one for the head. We then glued eyes and pipe cleaner antennae onto the black heart.

Once the glue dries, you can make it into a magnet, pin, or even tie a ribbon on it for hanging!
