3 Star Idea Rating

Estimated time to make this valentine:
15-20 minutes

Appropriate age group(s):
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School

Materials:
Pretzel sticks
Fruit by the Foot --Strawberry and Lime (or any green flavor)

Instructions:
Unwrap the strawberry Fruit by the Foot and tear off a 4 inch piece. Press one end of it to the pretzel stick and wind it loosely around. Pinch the bottom of the swirl to the pretzel to form the flower part.
Tear off two 1 inch pieces of the green Fruit by the Foot. Fold the edges into a V shape and press them onto the pretzel stick right under the flower. Smell the rose and enjoy!

Other comments or suggestions to consider:
Be careful not to press too hard or the pretzel may break. Then again, eating the mistakes can be the best part of the activity.
I saw this idea somewhere and modified it. I can't remember where I saw it but I thought it was too cute not to pass on.
